This Privacy Policy describes how Chadash ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects
your information when you use the Chadash mobile and desktop application. By using Chadash, you
agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register an account, we collect:
- Display name — chosen by you at registration
- Email address — used for account identification and support
- Password — stored as a secure one-way hash; we never store your plain-text password
Game Progress Data
To save and sync your progress, we collect:
- Scripture selections and memorisation progress
- Room restoration state and decoration configurations
- Meditation session history and notes
- Points, seeds, fruit, and other in-game resource balances
Social Data
If you use the social features of the App, we collect:
- Friends list connections
- Room visit history
- Comments and likes you leave on friends' rooms
- Fruit and prayer gifts sent or received between players
Device and Technical Data
We may collect limited technical data to maintain app stability and serve advertising:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Authentication tokens (stored securely on your device)
- Advertising identifier (e.g. Android Advertising ID) — used by third-party ad networks to serve and measure ads
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Create and manage your account
- Save and synchronise your game progress across sessions and devices
- Enable social features such as visiting friends' rooms and sending gifts
- Serve advertisements within the App (free version)
- Respond to support requests and inquiries
- Improve the stability and performance of the App
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use
it for purposes beyond operating the App and the services described in this policy.
4. Advertising
The free version of Chadash displays advertisements served by third-party advertising networks.
These networks may collect and use certain information from your device — including your
advertising identifier, IP address, and app usage data — in order to serve relevant ads and
measure ad performance.

Removing ads: You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the
ad-free upgrade through the in-app store.

Opting out of interest-based ads: You can opt out of personalised
advertising at any time through your device settings:
Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

Third-party ad policies: The data practices of advertising networks are
governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
5. In-App Purchases
Chadash offers an optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All payments are
processed securely by the Google Play Store. We do not collect, process,
or store your payment card details — all billing is handled entirely by Google Play and is
subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.
Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Advertising partners: Device and advertising identifier data may be shared with third-party ad networks as described in Section 4 (free version only)
- Bible API services: Scripture text is fetched from a third-party Bible API; your personal information is not transmitted to this service
- Legal obligation: If required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority
- Protection of rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others
7. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Hashed password storage — no plain-text passwords are ever stored
- Secure JWT token handling with short-lived access tokens and refresh token rotation
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Account Deletion and Data Removal
You have the right to delete your account and have your personal data removed from our systems
at any time. You can do this in two ways:
- In-app: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the App
- By email: Send a request to xander.kruger7@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your account and all associated personal
data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Chadash is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with
personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
"Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy
periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance
of the revised policy.
